Join BCPA

NOTE: Our 2023-2024 membership season has closed.  You may renew or purchase a new membership starting July 30, 2024. 

  

To become a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA), applicants must meet specific criteria based on their professional status. Please visit  Categories & Fees to understand the criteria for each type of membership. Applicants must complete the application form and pay the applicable membership dues. 

  • BCPA’s membership year is September 1st - August 31st.
  • You may join at any time, but all memberships expire on August 31st of each year.
  • Pro-rating will only be offered to new members joining the BCPA
    • September 1st - November 30th: Full Fee
    • December 1st - April 30th: 25% proration.
    • May1st - July 30th: 50% proration.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

     

   

Step 1: New Member's Form
 
Ready to join? Great! Fill out our New Member's Form, providing the necessary information to kickstart your membership journey. This form is designed to capture essential details. Access the form below.
  
Step 2: Pro-Rated Membership Rate
 
As a new member, enjoy the advantage of a pro-rated membership rate. Our team will review your form and send you a PayPal invoice within 3 business days, reflecting the discounted rate. Once payment is received, your account will be created. Please have a look at the membership fees in the table below. 
 
Step 3: Account Activation
Upon successful payment, expect an email from our team containing a link to set your password. This step ensures the security of your primary BCPA account. 
 
Step 4: Members with Referral Service
If you have opted for the referral service, you'll have two separate accounts moving forward. The primary BCPA account is accessible at psychologists.bc.ca. Your referral service account, specifically designed for managing your public referral profile, will be accessible via referral.psychologists.bc.ca. Any changes to your referral profile should be made on this dedicated platform. Please note that for security reasons, you will not be able to reset your referral service account password directly. To make any changes to your password, please email admin@psychologists.bc.ca, and our team will assist you promptly.
